IF IT IS TO BE, IT IS UP TO ME!!
May 3-5, 2002, I’ll be participating in a very special and powerful event in the fight against breast cancer. It’s called the Avon Breast Cancer 3-Day. I will walk 60 miles from Baltimore to Washington, DC with over 3000 other people to raise money for the fight against breast cancer.
Contrary to what my title says, If it is to be, it is not only up to me, but everyone, to pitch in, in order for us to find a cure for this deadly disease. I’m writing you today to ask for your help. Each participant commits to raising at least $1900.00 and will walk 60 miles, 20 miles a day for 3 days from Baltimore to Washington to help increase the survival rate for men and women with breast cancer. If you haven’t had a personal experience with breast cancer, I know you know of someone who has. Your contribution along with thousands of others will have a serious impact on this cause.
